About our Partners
This InspiredByEngineering.com website and support project is
funded by the Engineering and Technology Board (ETB). The ETB
is an independent organisation that promotes the essential role
of science, engineering and technology in society. The ETB partners
business and industry, Government and the wider Science, Technology,
Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) community: producing evidence
on the state of engineering, sharing knowledge within engineering,
and inspiring young people to choose a career in engineering, matching
employers' demand for skills.
The project is fully supported by the Engineering Council
(UK), which regulates the UK engineering profession.

The Inspired By Engineering
project is owned and managed
by the National Forum of Engineering Centres (NFEC), a membership
organisation which seeks to promote the relevance and quality
of the post-16 engineering and related technology provision.

NFEC is supported throughout the UK by
a hub and spoke network of Regional Champions drawn from member
organisations, each carrying out in-depth activities to support
and promote the aims of NFEC. These
NFEC Regional Champions will provide tailored assistance to the
Learning Centres that have signed up to this pilot project.

NEMI is a member of NFEC and acts as the
Regional Champion in the North East of England. NEMI has
been sub-contracted to co-ordinate the delivery of the pilot
